Tower Speakers exists to help readers choose and set up tower speakers. These standards apply to everything we publish.
Independence
- Recommendations are made on merit. Manufacturers, brands and retailers cannot pay to be included, ranked higher or reviewed more favorably.
- Affiliate commissions do not influence which products we recommend. We link to products we think suit the reader, and we explain the limitations of every recommendation.
- If we ever receive a product sample or any other benefit from a company, we will disclose it in the relevant article.
Accuracy and sourcing
- Specifications come from manufacturer websites, owner’s manuals and official spec sheets. If sources disagree, we use the manufacturer’s current documentation and note the discrepancy where it matters.
- We separate four kinds of information and label them clearly: manufacturer specifications, published third-party testing, our editorial analysis, and — only where it genuinely happened — hands-on testing.
- We do not invent prices, ratings, review counts, test results or listening impressions. Because Amazon prices change constantly, we describe price tiers rather than quoting prices that may be out of date.
- We do not copy other publications’ text, images or measurement graphs. When we rely on someone else’s findings we summarize them in our own words and credit the source.
Research-based vs. hands-on content
Most of our guides are research-based: they analyze specifications, measurements and expert reviews rather than our own listening tests. Every article that recommends products includes a short “How we researched this” note. If an article includes genuine hands-on testing, it will say so explicitly and describe what was done.
Use of tools and AI
We use software tools — including AI writing assistants — to help research, organize and draft content. Every product specification is checked against manufacturer sources before publication, and an editor is responsible for what we publish. AI tools are never used to fabricate testing, quotes, ratings or experiences.
Updates and corrections
- We review buying guides regularly and update them when models are discontinued, replaced or when new information emerges. Each article shows the date it was last updated.
- If we make a factual error, we correct it promptly. Significant corrections are noted in the article.
- You can report an error through our contact page.
Advertising and affiliate links
We earn money through affiliate links and advertising. Affiliate links are labeled, and every page with affiliate links carries a disclosure. Read the full affiliate disclosure.
